Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use Warm Intro Builder we collect:

• Account data — your email address and password (hashed, never stored in plaintext)
• Profile data — your name, target role, industries, and location that you voluntarily provide
• LinkedIn connections — the CSV export you upload from LinkedIn. We store the parsed connection list (name, company, role, connection date) in your account
• Resume text — if you upload a resume, we extract and store the text to personalize AI-generated messages and interview prep
• Application data — jobs, pipeline stages, and notes you add to track your search
• Outreach tracker — messages you draft and track through the platform
• Usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and debugging

How we use your data

• To provide the product — scoring connections, generating outreach drafts, tracking your pipeline
• To send transactional emails (welcome, weekly digest if enabled, password reset)
• To improve the product — we may analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not use your LinkedIn connection data for any purpose other than operating your account

AI processing

Warm Intro Builder uses Claude (by Anthropic) to generate outreach messages and interview prep. To do this, we send relevant context — your name, bio, target role, and a snippet of your resume — to Anthropic's API. We do not send your full connection list or personal contact details. Anthropic's data usage is governed by their privacy policy.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on AWS in the United States. We use row-level security so your data is only accessible to your account. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plaintext. We use TLS for all data in transit.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your data (use the Export page in the app)

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll notify you by email if we make material changes. Continued use of the product after changes constitutes acceptance.
